Questions
Frequently asked questions
Do I need to give my name or contact details to see quotes?
No. Six pieces of information suffice to generate quotes: gender, age, health status, tobacco use, desired benefit amount, and coverage duration. Personal identifying information is not needed unless you submit an application.
Are the monthly prices shown the price I will pay?
These are the rates the carriers quote for the health tier you indicated. The actual price is determined by the carrier's underwriting process, which may keep, upgrade, or downgrade your tier. No rate shown here constitutes an offer, a guarantee, or a commitment.
What happens when I click Apply?
You provide your name and the platform creates an application using the specific quote you selected, then transfers it to the carriers' encrypted system. Pausing and resuming is permitted, and you'll e-sign at the end. Susman Insurance Agency, a California-licensed firm (License 0B75129), manages the process.
Will I need a medical exam?
The answer varies based on carrier policy, coverage amount, and your profile. Many carriers now offer immediate decisions for applicants who meet their criteria; each quote indicates exam status: required, may be required, or not required.
Is a longer term better?
Pick a term that encompasses the period during which your death would create financial hardship: paying off a home loan, raising children, or honoring a business obligation. Longer coverage periods raise the monthly premium but freeze your rate for more years. The tool lets you evaluate 10, 15, 20, 25, and 30 year options in parallel.
Does this site sell my information?
No. The quoting engine doesn't request contact information, we don't exchange or sell visitor information with anyone, and we use privacy-respecting measurement without cookies. Review our privacy statement for specifics on what data is captured and which parties access it.
